As part of the student's promise to their sponsor they will send a copy of their school report to their sponsors twice yearly to inform them of their progress. However, we do stress that these reports are quite different from those in Britain and America. Students need to score over 30 marks to achieve the government pass mark in forms 1 and 2, and in forms 3 and 4 they must score over 35 marks. |

The pass grades range from A-D, with F indicating a fail in that subject. In the first term students may well fail some subjects if their knowledge of English is poor. As their confidence grows in using English, so their grades increase in all subject areas. The students also write a letter twice per year to their sponsor informing them of any news. We encourage sponsors to reply, as this gives the students encouragement to work hard. |
